Unfriendly services, paid 700 JPY for per cuppa a so called specialty coffee from this shop. The coffee was brewed with a Delonghi coffee machine. Unfortunately the taste is not up to the standard as specialty coffee and it was worse than any small coffee shop around Japan 🇯🇵… not recommended. To whom reply my message, this specialty Café doesn’t know the meaning of a specialty cafe stand for. How specialty cafe operating ? No explanation was given. Obscure coffee shop. The owner roasts his own beans. I didn't notice an espresso machine - so everything is 'brewed' by a pour-over system.

Owner took great care with our coffee, from grinding and blooming our ground coffee. He even pre-heated our cups.

I had the Ethiopian mocha (forgot the rest of the name), a dark roast. Nice caramel notes and was perfect for a chilly afternoon.

We stayed for about an hour here before heading over to Shirogane Blue Pond and absolutely loved the time at this coffee shop! The owner couple is lovely and the cafe is a residential home turned into a coffee shop, so you enter after taking your shoes off, which makes everything super cozy! We had the soybean coffee and the today's brew and both tasted amazing! The coolest cafe we have ever been to and this place made our Biei experience...
