BBQ Style Food Wood — Restaurant in Chatan

Talk about an instant fav! We decided to walk the seawall and pick a place for dinner, passed by this place at the start of our walk and couldn’t stop thinking about it so we had to circle back. The menu was very easy to follow, complete with instructions for how to order your plate (rice portion, meat, sauce, etc). My husband ordered a smoothie that was perfect for the hot summer day we were enjoying. Our kids enjoyed the wagon of toys that was out for them to play with, and devoured the cheese fries they ordered (kids love their French fries 😂). I ordered the BBQ chicken over taco rice with avocado and egg, AH MAY ZING! True it wasn’t anything special or groundbreaking, but it was simple and crave-able and I can already tell you that I’ll be going back and ordering the same thing again. My husband ordered a burrito of some kind and says that it was also VERY good. There are six (?) tables inside and a seating area right next to the seawall outside. My spouse and I went to this location for lunch. Bottom line, food and staff was good. While there, noticed that they have a party plan. Choices are 3800 yen for 5 dishes and all you can drink or 5000 yen for 7 dishes and all you can drink. With this information I decided that this place would be a great location to have our farewell party for our colleagues. The party plan I coordinated was the 3800 Yen for five dishes and all you can drink for 2+30 hrs. A long story short, not one item from the menu was served. Not one! Further more, the amount of food served was inadequate for the number of people (Japanese and American) that was coordinated. This place is called BBQ Style Food Wood. Brought my daughters here for dinner lastnight (Friday) around 5pm and there was only one other table of customers. The 2 ladies working here were so very nice and attentive and the atmosphere was cozy. I ordered chicken and French fries for my 5-year old from the appetizer menu since there wasn’t a kids menu. My 12-year old ordered bbq chicken over rice and I got the jalapeño poppers over rice with bbq chicken. The portion sizes were perfect and we even had some leftovers to bring home.
