This is a chain restaurant serving fresh fried Katsu (cutlets) and anything else they can fry! Their specialties are their tonkatsu (Pork Cutlets), but they also serve Karage (Fried Chicken), seafood (Shrimp and Oysters), and have numerous other seasonal and specialty items to choose from.
The fry on the Katsu is really solid--it is the Japanese Standard flakey oily crust that crumbles and tears apart as you press into it. The regular pork (not their Black Aged Pork) is a standard pork cutlet--the meat isn't dry but it's not necessarily juicy either. For the price, it is a very respectful and honest cut of meat, but it's not going to blow your socks off.
The Karaage had a nice solid fry to it, and fits the traditional Japanese style of not being flakey, but instead a nice light uniformed fry-coating on it. The chicken was very good and was a solid piece of fried chicken. Simple, unassuming, inoffensive--this is a solid fresh piece of fried chicken that's great to have when you want something quick and sweet. I found it paired well with the Miso Sauce I ordered on the side.
The restaurant itself is very easy to access and clean. You order via the tablets, and they have full english menus as well. You get the Barley Tea instead of tap-water for a drink, and I personally find it more refreshing over time than the water. The service is pretty quick for having to fresh prepare and fry everything, and it's a good simple atmosphere overall. They have a kids menu, and the place is very accomodating to children. You can self-checkout up front with your receipt, they take Cash and Credit Card.
Overall, this is a place that is excellent to go to if you want just a simple run-of-the-mill tonkatsu experience. A great place to take someone who's never had Katsu before but wants to try it, or to take the family for a quick fun and cheap bite to eat. Simple,...

You order by the pad and there is an English setting. Very user friendly.
I ordered the greedy option which came with a bit of everything. I did the add on of tofu (it's bland, but it's tofu so I mean I guess I'm getting what I asked for) and the cold udon with grated yam. The texture was interesting as it made it kinda creamy. Definitely a solid choice if you don't know what you want. It ended up being 1770 yen for everything. Everything was very crispy. The breading is a decent amount but still light. I'm not huge into fried food but if I continue coming back I'll upgrade my star rating. My only complaint would be it wasn't piping hot when served but it was warm.
Parking is easy in a medium sized lot. You can pay by credit card here. They have the machine if you pay by cash so you insert it in that and do not hand to...
Read moreGreat location to get fried pork cutlets, fried chicken and other items such as udon and rice dons. Their star dishes are the fried pork cutlet that you can get as a set meal with miso and rice, or cutlets over rice bowl dons. You can mix and match a great deal of items and ordering is done on a tablet with pictures of the food. Food is cheap and pretty decent! The only downfall is the drink selection is very minimal, you can only order a small can of cola, a bottle of tea or apple juice box. You can also get a beer or a non-alcoholic beer but there is only one brand/type of each. The drink provided at the restaurant is not a water, seems to be a lighter tea but as of right now, not totally certain. I still highly recommend, for the food is great and the prices are good! Takeout menu...
