I went with about 30 to 40 friends to Taj Okinawa restaurant for lunch. I was very impressed.
The restaurant serves Indian food. The lunch specials range from 600 to 1200 Japanese yen. I choose the 1200 yen lunch since I was very hungry. My lunch special came with curry chicken (you can choose what type curry and meat you want). My lunch set included curry with chicken, Indian huge piece of bread, salad, desert, your choose of beverage, soup, and two pieces of marinated chicken.
I am not a big eater of Indian food in general. But I have to say that this restaurant has very delicious Indian food. The best that I have ever had.
The food was made with love of cooking in mind.
The soup was just right and delicious.
The bread was very large and freshly made.
There were two pieces of chicken with two different marination sauces used. Both were deeply marinated just right and very delicious.
Curry and chicken was just the perfect amount of spices and everything nice and delicious.
The desert was again done just right and delicious.
You can choose from mango juice, yogurt drink, Indian milk tea, and etc.
I was very hungry and usually a big eater. I could not finish all my food. It is filling and good size portions.
Very satisfied with absolutely everything.
The quality of the food is excellent.
The atmosphere is...
Read moreOrdered the taj Thali platter to try a bit of everything. Also added a sag paneer which was fortunate as that was the best item we had.
5 star items saag paneer - would not hesitate to come back and order. minestrone soup - surprisingly good. it didn't look like much but was very tasty Coconut chicken curry - this is best when it's piping hot. at first we thought it was comparable or even better than the sag paneer, but then after it cooled down it definitely wasn't.
4 Star item naan bread - good standard saffron rice - good standard butter chicken - very very sweet, maybe a bit too much, but still good
3 Star items vegetable curry - pretty standard but most a bit below where I'll eat it but I wouldn't order it on my own mutton Curry - this has the potential but some how something was missing
we got a little hot and it was exactly what you think a little hot...
Read moreHeard good things about this place and was very disappointed in the food and price. The attached picture was over 50 bucks with only a 2.00 delivery fee. It was only butter chicken and naan. The butter chicken was watery and was more like tomato soup than curry. I asked for zero spice for the kids and it was still a little spicy. They can do it at Bollywood and other curry places nearby, so I was hoping taj could too. The portion size was not what it should be for the price. Delivery was lightening quick though, probably because there wasn’t much effort in the cooking process. I gave two stars because the naan was pretty good, everything else was way below par. Will not go back. There are better...
