This is a self-service hotel without a staffed reception, which can be convenient — if everything works as it should. The apartments are generally spacious and simply equipped.
Unfortunately, the first thing that hit us after unlocking the door was a repulsive stench, poorly masked by a strong soap-like scent. The smell came from one of the toilets, and no matter how much we cleaned that first evening, it didn’t go away. The apartment had clean towels and bed linen, but otherwise showed signs of poor maintenance and extremely inadequate cleaning. There was dust, grease, and grime everywhere. Along the baseboards, there was a thick layer of dust in several places.
As it was late and alternative accommodations were limited, we ended up buying cleaning cloths just to make it tolerable. We were shocked at how dirty the cloths became after gently wiping the bathroom floor.
We contacted the hotel by email and received a reply the next day. They apologized and offered to bring forward the scheduled cleaning by one day. After this, the dust along the baseboards was gone.
Still, we chose to move out of the apartment halfway through our stay because the family couldn’t endure the persistent smell of urine, mildew, and dampness. There was visible moisture under the kitchen sink. The air conditioner worked well but had clogged filters that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time.
The rooftop pool area is nice and has a touch of luxury at first glance. However, once again, the lack of cleanliness seriously detracted from the experience. Hair, trash, swim goggles, and other items remained stuck in the drain cover for the entire three days we were there.
On the ground floor, there’s a very popular restaurant that stays open until midnight. Unfortunately, the kitchen's exhaust fan is positioned right next to the parking area, and depending on the wind, the smell of fried food drifts straight into the apartment. It was very unpleasant and meant we couldn’t use the balcony — which had no furniture anyway and perhaps wasn’t intended for use.
The washer and dryer worked very well, and there were plenty of amenities, but apart from that, there’s not much else...
Read moreI made reservation through Agoda and i chose this hotel because of the rooftop swimming pool. However, until after i checked in i was then informed that i would not be staying at this main building but rather i was assigned to Annex Building without a swimming pool. The main reason why i chose this so called hotel was the swimming pool. The Annex was 5 min walk away from the main. This is totally absurd and misleading. Throughout the whole reservation process through Agoda, nothing was ever mentioned that i would have the chance of not staying at the main building with swimming pool. If i were known, i would have never chosen this hotel. This is completely inconvenient!
Besides air cons were dripping water on the first day which made the duvet and the bed partially wet. The hot water system is also a disaster. I had to shower fast as the hot water supply would be stopped half way of my shower. Moreover, the gas stove never worked properly so when i cooked breakfast the stove went on and off which made me very frustrated. Lastly the so called cleaning day was also disappointing, the hotel emailed me about the date of cleaning and specifically told us to put away our stuff for cleaners to do clean ups. Ironically, they only made up the beds and left new towels. No vaccuming no rubbish removing no washing room or bathroom cleaning. This was such a bad experience and i would NEVER come back or recommend to anyone. The worst bnb i ever stayed...
Read moreRooms are fabulous, soo large and comfortable. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen has everything. All facilities in perfect order, everything new and clean. Room prices very competitive. But to note: the automated check-in process takes a few minutes and some effort, but is not a big issue. However as remarked by other reviewers, sound proofing is non-existent (however this is a common characteristics of many Japanese buildings, especially apartments). You WILL hear the neighbor sneeze in the next apartment and the high power cars and motorcycles racing in the main street 1 km away. The flights of nearby military airports pass overhead but not too low, the engine noise is not uncomfortable. The street racing stopped around midnight and the airplanes fly during daytime only (start 8 or 9am? I did not pay attention). For an apartment in Japan I think the sound proofing is pretty much normal, so only deduct 1/2 star. If you are not very sensitive to noise this is a great...
