Apple pie and the fresh milk cookies were nice. Cheesecake was sold out. Frozen cheese tart was not great.

Update: managed to get the cheesecake. Started lining up at around 8.30am (store opens at 9am). There was already a long line. Was in line for a total of 1 hour and 47 minutes. The cheesecake was surprisingly very oily when I removed it from the plastic packaging so please remember to prepare some wet tissues beforehand. The brown crust of the cheesecake was slightly firmer than the rest of the cheesecake. The yellowish interior was light, airy, jiggly, warm, with a light cheese taste, slightly sweet and very faintly sour. Conclusion: I would not line up for it again. I don’t really understand the hype. Perhaps it’s the idea of scarcity that makes it so popular (long line + max 1 per person).
I liked the apple pie much better. I would get the apple pie again.
Also tried the soft serve ice cream, which was mediocre compared to the rest of the soft serve shops in Hokkaido that I tried. The best part about the ice cream was the free biscuit. The ice cream cone was...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of trying the apple tart at Kintoya Ringo pastery shop , located in New Chitose Airport. As I was walking through the airport, I couldn't help but be drawn to the tray full of fresh apple tart and the long queue of people waiting to try it. I decided to join the queue and it was definitely worth the wait!
The apple tart at Kintoya Ringo was the best I have ever tasted, both in Japan and anywhere else. The crust was perfectly flaky and the filling was bursting with flavor. It was clear that a lot of care and attention went into making this tart, and it really showed in the end product.
In addition to the delicious apple tart, I also noticed that Kintoya Ringo's ice cream looked very popular. I didn't get a chance to try it this time, hope I can give it a try in the future.
I also picked up some Hokkaido milk cookies from Kintoya Ringo and they were equally as delicious. The cookies were soft and buttery, with a rich,...
Read moreThe story starts with the long queue with only one counter (counter 1). I have queue for 10 minutes and the staff saw there is long queue and kindly open another counter, lets name it counter 2, away from counter 1. Yet it is the start of my complain. So, it is finally my turn, when i saw the customer left from counter 2 and i went to counter 2 straight. The staff straight assume that i cut queue and asked me to queue again, i trying to defend that i am from the queue and the staff couldn’t even understand English and started to call for next customer 😡 without even trying to understand the whole situation. Please improve your customer service and queue system. No matter how delicious is your ice cream, but I wouldn’t have come back for this kind of...
