As soon as we landed at New Chitose Airport, we made our way to Ramen Street on the 3rd floor of the domestic terminal. It was the perfect place for a comforting and satisfying meal after a flight. This lively stretch of ramen shops brings together some of Hokkaido’s most well-known regional ramen styles—all in one spot.
We explored different options and ended up enjoying bowls of shrimp-miso ramen and classic miso butter corn. The flavors were deep, the broths rich and warming, and the noodles had just the right bite. Even though we were still in the airport, the quality was on par with specialty ramen shops you’d find in the city.
Each restaurant is counter-style and quick-serve, which is great for travelers. Despite a bit of a crowd during peak lunch hour, the queues moved pretty fast, and it was worth the short wait. The vibe was lively but efficient, and the smell of ramen broth in the air just made us hungrier.

Great concept, wish we had more time to explore the options but had to settle for a more classic Hokkaido option that had free seating.
