Incredible. By far my favourite place to eat in Japan. Went here 4 times over the course of 3 days. It’s very local, and they all seem to know each other. The menu is very extensive, and they had a different soup each day I went. Complimentary of course. The staff are all so sweet and nice, especially the host. She can understand a tiny bit of English, at least enough to understand your order, so don’t be swayed by the Japanese only menu. Amazing portions, taste and service! If you come to Fujinomiya, Abe is for sure a must visit. Boss Lady is very kind and accommodating so don't feel bad if you can't read the menu(Google Lens is your best friend here). We severely underestimated how much food we were getting last night by getting 3 teishoku for 2. They also have an awesome selection of alcohols that are exclusive to this area so definitely try them out if you like drinking. We can't wait to go back to try more of their dishes! Absolutely delicious. Loved the food. I had the shrimp tempura while my partner had a sashimi plate and he described the sashimi as butter in flavor and texture. I found the tempura along with the rubbing, salad, miso soup and side of veggies to be flavorful. Absolutely loved the miso soup, best I’ve had in Japan so far, tastes nice and clean compared to other places. I wish to come back and eat here again.

People kept looking at us since we are foreigners and I imagine they don’t get many there. So do expect that....
