The first thing I thought of when I entered this restaurant was: man, this could be a scene out of a Quentin Tarantino film. And I mean that in the best way possible. Musty 70s (?) decor? Check. Loveable but slightly inexplicable fellow customers? Check. Read moreThis place was recommended by a co-worker. The lunch menu was basically a mishmash of barely identifiable plates of seemingly random things. I had a steak set, and a taco. I ordered it medium-rare, it came to me blue on a hot iron skillet... I guess I was supposed to wait a while till I ate it. It was not seasoned, and had a frozen knob of butter on it. I think they hate steak.
The taco was a soft floor tortilla grilled crisp. It was okay.... The salsa was either made last week or month or canned.
I was not impressed, and I think they are misleading customers by calling it Mexican.
I could eat it. And it wasn't gross. So... Two stars is...
