ぶどう酒場 レガレガ — Restaurant in Fukuoka

I used to live in Befu around the corner form and have been to this place many times in the past. Recently I revisited and was reminded how good the food is. I'd say the cuisine is more 'Italian-inspired' than actual Italian but don't let that put you off, as what's offered is wonderful blend of familiar European tastes with an Asian twist that only serves to increase their original delectability. The menu is sizeable, with many wines and a few Italian beers to choose from. I had some of the salmon, a herbal sausage pasta and fois gras. The fois gras is buttery and wholesome, pasta cooked al dente perfectly with very juicy sausage meatballs and all very moreish. I don't believe there's an English menu, but the food categories are laid out (in Italian) so at least you know that much, beside-- I'd gamble that you could probably throw a dart at any dish on the menu and not be disappointed. In my years of going there I've never had single dish that wasn't delightful. As for negatives; it's only a hole-in-the-wall restaurant so in terms of space some would say it's quite pokey, but I think some people would feel this adds to it's intimate charm and warmth, and I'm still giving it 5 stars.
