Fukuoka Food is Amazing!
We visited this restaurant on a rainy day and had a bit of trouble finding the entrance since everything was in Japanese and the entrance didn't look like the one in the Google reviews (maybe there are two entrances?). I took a picture of the entrance we used so it might be helpful for others.
There weren't many options for the lunch set, but we had the shrimp and chopped maguro donburi with scallions, Both dishes came with miso soup and salad. And the daily special which was fried oysters.
The soup was fragrant and smelled like seafood. The salad was also delicious and very refreshing. You can ask for salad dressing on the side.
The chopped maguro donburi was delicious and flavorful, and there was a lot of maguro in it. It was definitely worth the price. But the star of the show was the shrimp donburi.
The shrimp was incredibly delicious - fresh, sweet, and bouncy. It went perfectly with the side dishes.
Oh, and we sat at the bar so we could watch the chef cook everything. It was like watching a craft being made at a very...
Read moreWe are foreigners and it was our first time to eat at this restaurant, but the experience was extremely bad.
First of all, the attitude of the boss and employees was very bad. The boss was stinky and impatient when we were eating. We didn't do anything and didn't understand why we encountered such a service attitude.
Second, the boss and employees were messy in ordering dishes. Some were ordered but not served, and some were not ordered but served. I don't know how to manage it.
Third, the food was unpalatable and unhygienic. The chef who made sushi had to touch his phone and apron before putting his hands on the sushi. The chef's apron in the kitchen was very dirty. I couldn't imagine how bad the environment was inside, and the fish was smelly. I told them but they said it was our problem.
Finally, when other guests left, the boss and employees would say hello, but when we left, the boss was gone. That's it, and even the employees didn't...
Read moreWe made a reservation through Google as instructed by the restaurant’s information on Google Maps, and we also received a confirmation email from the restaurant acknowledging the booking. We had a reservation number and showed it to the staff, but they simply said there was no booking under our name and then walked away. After a while, they came back and showed us another restaurant on Google Maps, telling us to go there.
At first, we thought it might be a different branch and perhaps it was our mistake for not double-checking the restaurant name. However, when we arrived, we realized it was a completely different restaurant not even affiliated with this one.
We felt very disappointed. Your staff made no effort to explain or speak English. If you do not welcome reservations made through Google or do not intend to honor them, please disable the Google Maps booking link. Thank you...
