Fujiya Restaurant — Restaurant in Fukuoka

A hidden gem with its entrance tucked in the back of a seemingly residential building. Really home-y vibes and serves freshly cooked Japanese style meals.

Their recommendations at time of visit is Chicken Nanban, and I really loved it as it was freshly fried making the meat crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

For its price, is definitely worth to come try if you are in the area visiting fukuoka tower or something.

They even have english menu and instructions so that means tourists...

Impeccable food at a steal of a price. The only negative is they do not offer takeout for lunch and that you are expected to write your order and bus your own empty tray/dishes (though the latter is basically standard for Japanese shokuji-ya restaurants). Edit: As of 2024, I believe they have stopped offering takeout bento altogether. First timers should definitely order the Chicken Nanban, but you really can't...

This restaurant is hidden away. It is not on the main street. It is also hidden away from the usual walking path. It is easy to miss, so look for the red arrow.

There is one table with chairs. All other areas are seated on the ground, traditional fashion. Cash only when paying.
