This is one of Fukuoka's best places to watch sunset during dinner. A truly romantic place for two. The restaurant is located off town, and can be reached within 15-20 minutes by car. Imuri is well known for its unique and delightful desserts but it has more to offer to dinners. In fact, this is an upscale, classy restaurant. Interior design is perfectly done in a way that offers guests total relaxation and privacy. Ask for a table with Fukuoka views, you will definitely fall in love (at first sight) with what you see during sunset. Make your reservation well in advance. Speaking of food, we opt for Kaiseki, a multi-course traditional Japanese dinner. We are lucky enough to secure seats at the counter which is an open kitchen. So, we are an opportunity to watch chef while cooking. Chef is very very nice as he tries to explain the dishes served and engages in many conversations. We really like the vibes of this place. Food are tasty, prepared and presented in style, and ingredients are of high quality. The wine list is great too. The bar provides breathtaking night view of Fukuoka city. Don't miss it. I highly recommend this place to those who look for good dining experience. I would say that good food, good services, great hospitality and creative desserts give me found memories of...
Read moreI was going to wait to post this review, but while waiting or the desert for the birthday girl I decided to post a review now. Honestly I’m blown away at their service it’s hands down best service I’ve seen at any restaurant. They are all so polite, kind, and so very patient with us. We did the chefs course and everything was delicious. No complaints. And they were so accommodating we ended up having to call cause we were going to arrive late and they were still kind and assured us it was fine. Totoro also thought the food was amazing. I’ll definitely come here again
Also one more thing. They were so kind professional and welcoming even the chef came out to serve the first course and explained everything. Patiently answering any...
Read moreThis is what disappointment looks like. A fine-dining French cousin's restaurant is completely missing the point. The restaurant breathes Japan, and the food is dry and dull. I was familiar with most dishes, and the chef didn’t meet expectations at all.
It's great to have staff nearby, but basically, standing right behind you waiting for something to do makes anyone uncomfortable.
This restaurant is trying really hard to deliver their best. It just doesn’t seem to have the know-how.
I wouldn't recommend going...
