バーミヤン 岐阜公園前店 — Restaurant in Gifu

This place was great! I came by myself and ordered a beer, potstickers, fried rice, and the sesame chicken. I don't speak any Japanese or Chinese, but the nice hostess seated me right away.

You order on a tablet (in English, and there's a tutorial you can watch, too!) and then the food gets delivered by a robot with a cute cat face. You can even pick if your dessert comes with or after the meal. (If you get dessert, that is. I didn't, and it's a good thing because it was a lot of food.) Some dishes you were able to order as small or large portion.

Everything came out quickly, and everything was hot and delicious. I actually had to let the potstickers cool down for a bit, and the soy sauce was super tasty, too. There is a self-service free drinks counter near the front of the restaurant.

They give coupons for repeat visits... too bad I'm just a tourist. I didn't notice any smoking section. The robot also delivers your bill with the last plate. The lady who picked up my empty plates was prompt and nice. She made sure I was all the way finished before picking up the plates.

A different hostess also very kindly guided me through my fumbling at the pay kiosk at the door. I would definitely come here again. This place has good vibes and I had a great time....

The resto is spacious. There's a robot to deliver the food to our table. The staff are very helpful. And most amazingly, they cook and serve the food really really fast!

The food is pretty good. There are so many options. Can order using the tablet provided by the table. There's English translation too.

We ordered quite a number of different dishes. Most are pretty good. Even though the gyoza is kind of just okay.

I can only compare to Chinese food from North America and not what locals expect, but we truly enjoyed our meal. We also apreciate ordering from a tablet (with english) and being served by a robot was fun. I had the mapo and eggplant, my partner, the cashew chicken. Both were very tasty. This would probably be called a family restaurant as it offers a drink bar (with many choices) as part of a menu set. Atmosphere was clean...
