This place is extremely photogenic!

It has a strange structure, you enter and you go along a corridor. It used to be a shop and storage of a paper seller.

Inside has a small garden and a cafe /restaurant. Very beautiful place, works as a gallery and craft shop. You have to remove your shoes to enter the restaurant part. There’s a second floor. Both floors have different types of seating arrangements, you can choose, armchair, table and chair, etc art on the walls. A piano and a microphone so I guess there’s some events! Extremely attractive place with a Japanese flavor.

The food is not extremely delicious but it does worth the visit for the place per se! Also not expensive at all! I had an omolet rice and well.. wasn’t bad but my husband can do a better one! If you want to pass by, we live in Tokyo, he usually fries the rice with onion, ketchup and black pepper before putting the egg on top, it’s really delicious! Well.. thank you for allowing me the comparison!

Prices- total for 3 person - 5,700¥, three meals, one extra drink (cream soda - 700¥). Nothing for the pleasure!

A cozy cafe with French music in the background made lazy afternoons even more lazier. Good place to chill and desserts were great. Had an afternoon coffee set (for 2 pax) at 2800 Yen. Green tea parfait was about 750 yen. 2 huge scoops of green tea ice cream...really yummy! Overall, it's quite affordable and I would say, value for money compared to Kyoto or Tokyo. Only drawback were the mosquitoes...I left with 3-4 bites but interestingly, after I left the cafe, it didn't itch anymore. Service was good. I couldn't speak much Japanese and the French guy attending to us couldn't speak much English but nonetheless still tried his best to communicate. 初めて行きました Googleで検索すると通常より混雑していますとありましたが時間も急いでなかったので向かいました

駐車場は、ラスティコさん、川原町屋さんなどの共同🅿️ですが川原町屋さんだけで20台分あります

🅿️から歩くこと30秒ほどで着きます 入口は石段なのでベビーカーや車椅子などは注意が必要です(事前確認必要かも) 入口右には丸ポストがありますよ📮

町屋なので奥に長いです 入口は高い吹き抜けの細長い土間となっており右側が作り付けの待合ベンチで10人は座れると思います この時期は大きなストーブが置いてあり寒い事はありません 待ち時間の間に左側にある小上がりの続く和室に小物が置いてありそれを眺めたり購入したりできます

肝心の来店待ち予約ですが奥に進んだところの柱に下がっておりましたが初めてだっため不慣れで待合客に教えていただきました 店員さんがいればその方に伝えれば書いていただけます

今日の待ち時間は40分ほどでした 人気なんだねーと友人と歓談していました

通されたのは中庭を挟んだ奥の蔵スペース こちらも石段が三段あり、こちらで履物を脱いで上がりますが靴箱がないため脱いだ靴はその石段に置いてあったり溢れればその下において上がります

１階と2階とありますが１階に通されました 中は真四角の４人掛けテーブルでした

オーダーは机にあるベルを鳴らして店員さんを呼びます ケーキセット1,100円(税込)をオーダー 650円以内のドリンクと日替わりのケーキ4種の中からそれぞれチョイス

私がオーダーしたのはカフェモカと生キャラメルのチーズケーキでした

まずはケーキセットから運ばれてきました オーダーから40分ほどかかっての提供でした

正直、え？今ケーキ焼きあがったの？ってくらい遅くてビックリしました

ここに混雑のカラクリがあったのか！と思ったほどです

ドリンクはそれより遅れる事3分程度でしょうか 夏ならアイスが溶けてしまいそうです

私がオーダーしたカフェモカはカップが大きくたっぷり飲めます カプチーノもそうだったのでこれは飲みがいがあっていいなと思いました

生キャラメルのチーズケーキもとっても濃厚で上のクルミがいいアクセントでした

カフェモカはノンシュガーで頂いたのですが上はフワフワでエスプレッソのほのかな苦味が美味しかったです でもかき混ぜなかった為、カップ底にチョコレートシロップなのか砂糖なのか(甘さ的に砂糖のよう)ほんのり甘かったです

合計して2時間ほどの滞在となりましたが帰る頃にはまだまだ作り付けのベンチに待合客がいらっしゃいました

こちらを訪れる時は、時間に余裕がある時、喉が渇いていない時(通された時にお水は出ます)などとにかく心にも時間にもゆとりを持って訪れる事を強くオススメします また、蔵の2階は床板1枚なのか上を人が歩くとギシギ...
