This is located in an old street within GIFU, that is keeping its old buildings. This cafe and bakery is no different. However they have modernised the inside, with a cold industrial feeling table and chairs. This was probably the only downside to this place, as the seating can be cold and hard, especially in the winter. The drinks choice was great, and had on offer one of the better Chai teas I have managed to find in Japan. The breads and treats available were remarkable. All freshly baked and look so good. They give you the option of the morning set, available until 11.30 I believe. Which more than makes up for the cost of the drinks, especially as the chai is one of the more expensive. The morning set gives you a sample of their different treats available, but what made this even better was I had come here with another person, and their samples were a different selection, so we were able to sample more by sharing. Another remarkable treat was the free drinking water given when you take to your table, as this was lightly sparkling water. There are lots of delicious looking breads and quiches to choose from from the counter which you can buy and take home. Well worth a visit and I will definitely be back there again. Without the native language it's a bit hard to order. The staff was kind though and worked with us. Ultimately my partner and I got sets with 6 bread items and drinks. We did not pick the bread items, they picked and brought them to our table.
