JSTアジアンレストラン — Restaurant in Gifu

TLDR: 岐大生、学食で20分列に並ぶぐらいなら絶対こっち来たほうがお得だし美味しい。 I've always been curious about this restaurant but I have never once entered it because I've heard rumours that it's dirty, moreover it looks kinda shady and uncomfortable from the outside. I patronaged the grocery store upstairs today for indomie, and I just happened to decide that, let's go in and see how dirty it could be 😂 (Malaysians have a strong stomach anyways, and the last time I bought kebab from their food van outside during the quarantine period, I didn't have any stomach upsets so why not) Yup, there's a grocery store upstairs that sells some spices, fresh chillies, asian stuffs etc, not perfect with everything but you may find what you need cheap. Some of their spices are in packages without names though, I always wonder what those are. But anyways, back to the restaurant, to my surprise, it's clean and bright, optimal for dining, although it'll be even better if they'd put some music on because it's just dead silent, awkward even. Staffs wore clean clothes and service was great - they would ask if their food was nice, if you're okay with the spiciness. There's free soup and salad before the meal as well. (Idk, maybe a tactic to make sure you don't run away before ordering 😂) And look at the picture (Tunisian breek set, I like how they described it as gyoza lel), this would have cost like 1500 out in the city area, instead of 750 over here. My go to menu here is mutton biryani, it's delicious with enough portion and generous meat, but expect the taste to change everytime you try, anyway it still delicious. They have so many option in the menu. The Curry and tandoori food is good. I've try all kind of set in curry and tandoori, and I could say that the special set is absolutely a feast, more than enough for two people. Tonight was my second trip at JST and it was very delicious! Both times I've come it's been empty, which is a shame because the food is great! I get the Tikka masala with cheese naan which is sweet and spicy, and very filling. Cheese naan is also great to dip in. The owner gave me a complimentary desert as well free of charge, which was extremely nice of him. It was very delicious as well.
