Jujiya Cafe is a little gem at the fish market in Hakodate.
We came to see market early, and we needed our morning coffee. We found Jujiya on Google so we wanted to give it a try. The owner seated us immediately, we ordered Jujiya blend coffee and their custard cream.
Started chatting with the owner, who speaks very well English, he told us the story of the their coffee shop. His family brought coffee to Hakodate and he is the fifth generation taking care of the business. We enjoyed both the coffee and our chat so much but since we did not want to bother him more, we left and came back next morning for another cup but unfortunately it was closed. We left a note saying we would come back to Hakodate on our return but unfortunately our plans have changed so we could not go to Hakodate and enjoy Jujiya's coffee and delicious custard cream once again.

Had the coffee creme brulee, if you see there are some available - please eat them. It was so good, went very well...

The coffee itself was delicious, and before leaving, I couldn't resist purchasing some of their dip drop coffee...
