The service is terrible, utterly unbearable. The dining experience is the worst I have ever had in my 20 days in Japan. The ordering website is flawed at best. The waiters seem friendly but under their high horses are stubborn and unfair. The terror of service started like this: That night we ordered three plates of sushi, where they accused us of ordering 5 plates. They did firstly kindly confirmed us of the mistake, and offered to help us cancel it. However the duplicated sushi still came. In such we found the waiter and asked her what happened. After some questioning, they had the audacity to tell us that we ordered 5 and it can’t be canceled as it has been on our table. But after our careful checking, it is absolutely clear that we only ordered 3, so we confronted them again. In result, they did offered the excess plates to us for free. The experience seems like it’s turning to a bright side at that point, but nope. We waited for so long and still some of the sushi we ordered didn’t come. So we planned to pay the bill and forget about it. However as the restaurant is using an electronic ordering system, they stubbornly accused us for ordering all the dishes. So after a very very long discussion of more than half an hour, they had accepted our proposal of only calculating the dishes on our table. Remember that. After all that time wasted, We went to the checkout, and they ignorantly gave us the original bill, with all the unserved sushi, and acted like nothing happened, treating us like a bunch of innocente. After another half an hour, where we did the math, matched the bill with our real order. And calculated our real price, we finally got out of there with our reasonable price.
This was a terrible experience and wasted a huge chunk of our time. The food was not exceptional too. We will not be coming back, and we advise you not to too. Especially if you are a tourist.
However credit where credit is due, I have to give it to them, as their manager don’t understand English they found us a translator, and we communicate in English, even if it’s not an effective...
Read moreI want to start this review by saying—I’m absolutely not exaggerating. I’ve written both good and bad reviews for restaurants, and you’re more than welcome to look them up for context.
That said, this restaurant is not only the best I’ve eaten at in Japan—it’s the best I’ve ever been to in my life.
The team here is simply incredible. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. When we returned a few days after our first visit, they remembered us, and the chef personally came out to greet us and thank us for coming back. That gesture alone says so much about the heart behind this place.
And the food? Out of this world. The best sushi I’ve ever had. The best soup I’ve ever had. The dessert—phenomenal. Everything is done with such precision and care. The cleanliness, the attention to detail, even the wasabi and pickled ginger were on another level compared to anywhere else we’ve eaten.
The only downside? That I can’t eat here every single day for the rest of my life.
Thank you for the unforgettable...
Read moreWe had an awesome dining experience at this restaurant in Hakone. The first thing you notice is how clean and modern everything feels—sleek design, spotless interior, and even the bathrooms were immaculate. You can tell they take pride in the details.
The food was fantastic. Every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. And the coolest part? The food is delivered to your table on a conveyor belt—but not in a gimmicky or cheap way. It’s done with style. Think more high-end tech meets hospitality, not budget sushi joint. It was surprisingly fun and felt really innovative without sacrificing the quality of the experience.
Service was great, too—friendly, fast, and professional. If you’re in Hakone and want something a little different but still refined, this place is definitely...
