The burger restaurant was supposed to be a nice change of pace during our Japan trip. The food was fine, if pricey for the provided (standard) burger.
Unfortunately, the service was not. There is a system where you can pull a number and get your waiting time via a QR-code and so-called "live" updates. We had a beer around the corner and returned immediately when the app said that there was only one more group infront of us and a waiting time of 20 more minutes. We arrived 2 minutes after the alert and 20 minutes before the initial time given to us and waited outside of the restaurant. The server then came and seated another group, claiming we were not here when she came looking for us. So don't trust the system - it does not work! After insisting it was our fault, we received a table and had to wait for quite some time for our food. When we got our food the waitress already started very noisily cleaning up the room around us and dismantling the other tables. This was around 8p.m.. So all in all, the burgers were fine if pricey and the service was terrible....
Read moreAfter a long day of traveling from Tokyo I was bummed to find out that the hotel we were staying at had no vegetarian options. My search returned very limited options, many of which did not sound promising. I'm so glad I came across Box Burger and appreciate the reviews, which put my mind at ease. Service was excellent. The waiter was very nice and friendly and spoke very good English. My husband and I both got the teriyaki veggie burger. It was cooked to perfection. The bun was nicely toasted and the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were fresh. If it's one thing I would change, it would be to go easy on the mayonnaise or ask for it on the side. The burger ended up being a bit messy so the provided bag to put the burger in came in handy! The fries and onion rings were good as well. We finished it off with Asahi beers. At 1980 yen for each burger + 335 fries + 500 onion rings + 700 each beer, it was a pricey meal. However, with the limited options it was worth it and the food and service were...

Fritters were good but are whole fried small fish so be aware when you order them. I had the box burger and the Mt Fuji coke. The Fuji Summit craft cola was a refreshing citrus and ginger (?) combination that was perfect with the grease from fish fritters and the burger.
My friend had the Bacon Egg Burger. It came with a side of a few skin on fries that were also excellent. Not too salted and crispy. The egg was perfect and not runny and not too dry. The bacon is Canadian bacon, which is like pork belly. Not crispy but really good.
We were so impressed we ordered shakes (vanilla and very berry). Both were excellent.
We both agreed it is one up there with one of the best burgers we have had (and we live just outside of Chicago). It being walking distance to the lighted Sakura blossom path makes this worth a special trip.
Their English is flawless if that is a concern.
