The owner doesn't even seem like he needs a good review. 😂 However here goes my praise because this place deserves it! Vaste Izakaya menu which will cater to all of your groups tastes. Very very yummy, we ate a lot. Great staff working here- our waiter was a young dude from Hakuba and very genuine. He gave us his recommendations for which mountain resort to visit depending on the snow quality/weather that day. The owner switched on the under-table heater for us and when doing so told my partner "No", while giggling, because my partner had worn the staff designated crocs into his seat (unbeknownst to me) 😣. Read moreIt’s a good izakaya if you want to try some westernized Japanese food. Some of the dishes seem also infused by Korea and Chinese. The decor is very Japanese, either counter seats or tatami. The service is good too but extremely slow. We had to cancel our sashimi order as it took them forever to bring the dish to us.
Some of the dishes I like: fried tofu with miso, fried river shrimp, octopus and scallops carpaccio, grilled tofu with pork, kimchi and egg, and the red bean soup.
