Pricey hence 3 stars. Quality and taste good, not fantastic. Portions are small ¥900 for 7 slices of beef, cheapest option. All seven small pieces. They only have wagyu beef but marbling is low so not too fatty.
Like most restaurants in Hakuba, they require you to buy a drink. No water is served. Green tea is not refillable ¥300.
Charcoal stove. Charcoals are piled up high close to the surface. Fatty meats like pork and chicken catch fire easily. Gril mesh replacement is ¥200, not free. Don't char it too early. Tip: cook beef first as it's less fat, doesn't catch fire. If ordering beef, go for beef loin, rib as too much vein and is chewy.
Bimbimbap is small even for full serving. This has a Japanese twist to it, doesn't taste entirely Korean but in a good way. I enjoyed it.
Friendly staff, nice cosy restaurant. Good exhaust system so less smell for indoor BBQ.

Read moreThe people running this establishment are extremely rude and are probably uneducated. They can't even get their own bookings right. We made bookings twice to eat here. Once through our Airbnb host (so that the booking can be done in Japanese), and they messed up the booking, which lead to them chasing us out.
So we made the booking again in person. We told the staff 6pm, Sunday and he said they can't do 6pm but they have a slot at 7pm. We double confirmed with him that it's 7pm, Sunday and left our phone number. Turns out they messed it up again!
We arrived and they told us our booking was for 6pm, Sunday and then proceeded to push us out the door and shouted "no booking, GET OUT!". The staff then proceeded to slam the door in our face.
Don't even try to eat here unless you like being chased out of...
Read moreWe went there on Feb.28 with the reservation of 8 people. As one of the guest was having the diarrhea and the space restaurant gave us was really small for the whole 8 people, so only 7 of us were there having the dinner.
The restaurant did not say anything about the fine or ask us to call back the one left, but charge us with 5,000 yen unnoticeable three days later.
The total we spent for 7 people was at around 25,000 yen. On average, 3,500 yen per person.
We can either order 5,000 yen more but can not agree being charged three days later and the amount is way more higher than those who were there. Obviously, not align with the principle of proportionality.
Wont recommend this restaurant to everyone unless proper responses were received from...
