There are several restaurants near the train station that caught our attention, and I have to say that this place didn’t at first. It’s older, not flashy, it’s not modern or gimmicky on the outside…which makes it the perfect place for me. The menu is traditional Japanese teishoku, local udon, fried mix plates, eel, kushi katsu, etc. Ordered the mixed fry plate and it was great. The kitchen is generational in the same family and the service was very kind. Highly recommend. Look past the newer, flashy places. You won’t be disappointed. Right beside the Hikone station also makes it very convenient.
