I visited it on a Monday in late January. I made sure to arrive 15 minutes before they opened at 11. There was a couple who had already put their name on the list for me. This place is serious. Instead of trying to read the menu, I showed a photograph from Google Maps of a large Unagi bowl. I could tell from the translation of the review that the woman who had ordered it had struggled to finish it, but was glad for the attempt. As for me, I was grateful that I had skipped dinner the night before, and skipped breakfast the morning before visiting. My lunch cost ¥5,500 and it was worth it. I especially appreciated the large cup of green tea and the pickles, one of which tasted uniquely like it had been soaked in sake. Unagi is among my favorite foods and this place had been recommended by our neighbor in Tokyo. I hope to bring my family with me next time. Read more一年振りに訪問。いつもなら名古屋で鰻をいただくのだが、今回も名古屋は通過のみ。こちらで鰻をいただく。連れは特上蒲焼きご飯、私は特上鰻重、ついでに白焼きも付けた。鰻は背開きで関西風ほど表面はパリパリしていない。タレはちょっと甘めだが薄味。タレの量は少な目だが蒲焼きご飯に追加用タレが付いているので、好きな量が選べるのが嬉しい。食事中でも会話の時はマスクをしてほしいとの事だが、守っている人はほぼいない。伊勢市内には4ヶ所(私が知っているだけで)の鰻屋さんがあるが、ここがピカイチだろう。好みの差があるので、反論は自由だ。
久し振りの訪問。2011年に初めて訪問し、美味しかったので何回か利用させて頂いた。当時は其処までお客は居らず、行けば待つ事なく入れた。最近では行列が出来るほど人気らしい。嬉しいやらがっかりするやら。お料理は会席1種類、蒲焼ご飯、うな重、うなぎ丼の4種類。会席は蒲焼き、白焼き、う巻き、うざくが付いているのでかなりボリューミー。うなぎ丼はタレをご飯にまぶしてある。うな重と言いつつ丼での提供、蒲焼きご飯はご飯と蒲焼きが別々に提供され、それぞれうなぎの量により数段階に別れている。上と特上は500円程度の差なので、上を頼むなら特上の方がお得かもしれない。連れは蒲焼きご飯の特上、私はうな重の特上、白焼き一人前と肝焼き2本を注文。タレは薄味でうなぎの尻尾辺りがかなり固かったのが残念。ご飯の仕上がりは好みで、タレが別添えなのも好感触。ただ、女性店員さんは忙し過ぎて客対応がかなり粗い口調だったのが残念客の注文を遮るのは止めた方がい...
