Chinese Toh-Lee — Restaurant in Izumisano

Exec Sum: Accommodating and welcoming of younger children. Fresh food and ingredients. Generally good service; precise and formal. Food was a bit bland by Thai standards of classic Chinese cuisine. Last order is a hard stop. Take it seriously. Menu pics + itemized bill included for ease of reference. Expensive, but that’s to be expected at a higher-end hotel restaurant.

The Peking duck (skin only) was very tasty. 1/2 portion is more than enough for 2-3 people. We also splurged a bit and got Kobe beef (60 grams) stir fried in oyster sauce. It was a bit bland taste wise, but the beef was exceptionally marbled and cooked to perfection. We’d probably go with the regular (not Kobe brand but still quite tasty, I suspect) pepper beef in the future; likely better value for money. Sautéed local season vegetables were very fresh but also a bit bland. The small portion of fried rice with crab was sized generously, enough for 3-4 adults, but the crab was difficult to find. Draft beer was refreshingly cold. Note that when they say last order at 8:30 they mean it. I tried to order a plume wine at 8:32 and was rebuffed, which was a bit disappointing from a service perspective after investing a considerable sum on a last celebratory dinner of our first family trip since COVID. But I respect their polite firmness.

Food was excellent 👌🏻 service was great in typical Japanese fashion. The staff saw we had an infant and immediately gave us a baby high chair and also a set of baby cutlery. It is on the pricier side but you get what you pay for and the quality is...

昨年　ランチのビュッフェを食べに行きました。数回お伺いしていますが、一品一品手が混んでいて非常に美味しいイメージ。

最初のオーダー時におすすめ点心をオーダー その他スープ　チャーハン　一品を数個オーダー 30分経っても点心が一つもこない、店員さんに確認すると少し混み合っているとの事。 そこから20分何も出てこない。 ようやく1時間後に点心が到着、チャーハン等が先に来ており全て食べた後に点心が来ても 食べれないし、オーダーを忘れていたのなら先に説明すべきだろう。 コロナ禍で従業員教育が難しいのは理解できるが、あまりに対応がお粗末。 他ホテルでも似た様な事があったが、その際 すぐにできる点心の説明があったり、優先的にオーダーを通していただく等フォローがあり感心した事があったが、この店は怒りしか感じなかった。 料理自体は非常に美味しいが接客等マネージメントが悪いと非常に残念なお店に...
