Sushi Dokoro Nakani — Restaurant in Joetsu

I came in at around 5pm, and the lady who "welcomed me in" told me that the place was full. I looked around, and the place was literally, TOTALLY, empty. I asked her, in somewhat incredulous doubt, for confirmation. To which she replied that they were fully booked. To which I should have replied "how do you know I have not made a booking?". Because I am accustomed to this kind of annoying rejection, I had checked before-hand, and on the way out I double-checked for any sign such as 予約制 or 満席. None. My assumption is that I was denied entry based on my face. Hence, the poor review. For people who went that far into this review, I recommend a few spots in the area with welcoming staff : Keishyu (hambaga, japanese only I think, but the staff are very kind so maybe they're willing to help) Lucas (izakaya with good pasta, and pizza (which I did not try), same as above regarding english/japanese) Tomizushi for decent sushi (english menu...
