The place had a clean modern decor but was also homey and comforting at the same time. The hostess spoke English well enough to explain the main dishes they served. We had the fried eggplant, chicken congee and the pork & vegetable rice bowl. They have a simple menu but the dishes were all made with love and the type of comfort food I love eating at home. I’m not sure if they’re a wife and husband combo but they were both really friendly from when we first came in to when we left (the chef even came outside to bid us goodbye and asked if we like the food -of course we did, we finish every last bit)
I recommend checking the mirror on the side wall for additional daily specials using google translate/lens ..also, if google on bus/walking mode shows you a back road way through a lot of residential homes coming from Kamakura station ..do not take that route ..you’ll find yourself in the middle of a very dark cemetery, making a u-turn (if you do see the cemetery, there’s a pathway to the right -do not enter...
