Bliss Burger — Restaurant in Kamakura

Stopped in for a quick bite and it was fantastic. The store can get smoky from the cooking, so if you are sensitive it may not be for you. We ordered 2 classic cheeseburgers and one has bacon. The bacon was very thick and I wouldn't recommend if you are expecting bacon like US style. Burger was cooked perfectly, bun was fresh and soft, condiments were sort of like a relish. Included a salad which was like a mixed greens with coleslaw and a light ranch dressing with crumbled battered fried onions on top. Fries were fresh and well seasoned. Comfortable, casual corner restaurant with friendly staff. Having heard that if it's a good Japanese burger, it can be pretty good, I was in the mood for finding such a burger while visiting Kamakura. I passed up on a few other places, and then there was Bliss Burger right in front of me. I had a cheeseburger with pickles and onion. I didn't ask if there was ketchup or other condiments. I didn't want any distractions. The burger was delicious - flavorful and juicy. The bun, made by a local bakery, was perfectly chewy, and added to my overall enjoyment. I had just enough room for a cup of vanilla ice cream with black sugar.

This place is a hidden gem in Kamakura! The burgers are next level, especially the miso and teriyaki options. The classic is also amazing.

The fries are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and hands-down the best I've ever had (and I'm a Cali native!).

The atmosphere is cool and inviting, with a black-themed interior and beautiful lighting. The craft cocktails and Blum sake are top-notch. You can tell everything is made with love and care.
