An absolutely magical experience – a moment of peace and beauty that feels like stepping into another world. The atmosphere is calm and serene, surrounded by towering bamboo and quiet nature. The matcha was quite good, and the entire setting made it a once-in-a-lifetime experience, especially for those new to Japanese culture. I highly recommend visiting before 11 or 12 AM – after that, it gets crowded and loses some of its charm. But if you time it right, it’s unforgettable.

Beautiful outdoor tea shop 🍵 in the bamboo forest 🎋 of this temple. The tea is good and it's really nice to drink it outside, in front of the bamboo 🍵 There are a lot of people so you will have to wait, even more in the spring 🎋 The price is a bit expensive because you have to pay for the entrance to the temple and the tea afterwards. The service is good 👍🏼

A must visit of Kamakura - a serene temple and bamboo forest, with the option to enjoy a green tea within its gardens (in this cafe). Lovely strong flavour well balanced by two small sweet treats. Not the best view due to being so close to the bamboo shoots but still a beautiful spot to visit & a great moment of relaxation.
