Perfect hidden gem :)
As soon as we walked in people gasped, I was a bit confused at first but they sat us down at a chubadai (I think it's called). I think they're not used to seeing tourists in the summer so it's mostly locals.
The locals at the table next to us shouted us free fried chicken from the menu and were very friendly. One of them spoke a little bit of english and helped us order and translate to the owner which was nice.

Read moreA hidden gem, frequented by locals. Mostly sells sushi, some tempura available. Run by a funny and sweet gentleman. We can’t speak Japanese and he couldn’t speak much English but we got by! It was a lovely environment and great fresh food. We met a very funny and jovial local, we all had a great time with the owner. Thank you for a nice night.

We were seated right away. There was no queue. Had the Chirashi and pork & egg rice. Surprisingly very good.
I was surprised by the freshness of the sashimi served. Seems like the male chef/owner was operating by himself. I did not notice anyone helping him throughout my meal.
