Coco's Restaurant — Restaurant in Kanazawa

Our group ended up at Coco’s in Kanazawa thanks to our “leader” — when the belly talks, people listen. And it was a great choice. Everything we ordered ranged from good to perfect. At our table we had (roughly translated): six kinds of cheese wrapped and baked, double cut steak, thick cut sirloin, chicken steak, double mushroom burger, mini crispy potatoes, fried chicken, chicken wings, Caesar salad, and of course the drinks bar. I love restaurants that offer unlimited drinks, though the only no-sugar option was Coke Zero. Thankfully, we burned off the extra calories on the walk back to our hotel.

The service was excellent with a few unique touches. For the first time, we had a robot deliver our food, which felt futuristic and fun — we took so many silly photos and videos. The restaurant itself gave off a true family atmosphere, making it feel warm and inviting.

The only downsides were the language barrier and the menu. The menu was entirely in Japanese, with no English available, so we relied heavily on our phones to translate. Our waitress barely spoke English either, though she was extremely kind and put in the most effort to help us, which we really appreciated. It may have been because we came close to closing, but we still felt taken care of.

Overall, Coco’s in Kanazawa was a memorable stop with great food, excellent service, and a fun twist with the robot waiter. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a hearty, family-style meal in Japan.

Bring a translation app, as the menu may not have English.

Don’t miss the drinks bar if you like variety, though sugar-free choices are limited.

Try to go earlier in the evening to avoid language or service challenges near...

イートインで入店したにも関わらず、店員さんにテイクアウトのメニューをオススメされた^^; 私もよく確認せずにオーダーしてしまい、 あとになって「これテイクアウトメニュー」ですと言われてしまった。 私は「テイクアウトで注文してしまった分は取消して、また別のメニューを注文します」といって事なきを得たか…と思いきや、 取消したはずのテイクアウトメニューがなぜかテーブルに。 そして後で注文したメニューも重複で到着。 所々で話が食い違って店員さんもキレ気味。 なぜかワタシがスミマセンと謝る事態に…涙

そしてドリンクバー無しで注文し、水と白湯を頂いたのに、 強面のオバチャン店員に『ドリンクバー使いましたね』と疑いの目を向けられました。
