I came here several times now. I was also sometimes accompanied by people from work (Japan), some of them from overseas (Europe and US). Personally, I love the delicacy of the food preparation and taste. The seasonal food fits perfectly with my French taste. Visually, the presentation, the plates and bowls are beautiful and extremely refined. The chef is totally focused on the preparation and we can observe him working from the counter seats. His wife speaks both Japanese, French and English. We had great discussions with her, that also pleased my academic colleagues. The discussions were both interesting and relaxing. Everyone felt at ease. The service is very polite, but relaxed, and very discreet. Each of the meal I had in this kaiseki restaurant (gastronomic), was different. One of our party has celiac disease, and I informed Takuya and Julie when I made a reservation. They were able to enjoy every course of the meal with understanding and respect for their food intolerance, which meant a lot and is often difficult for foreigners traveling in Japan.
