Eggs 'n Things Coffee — Restaurant in Kashiwa

Expensive for what it is. Reasonable taste but not amazing. Disappointed with the special : pancake a la mode (pancakes, various sliced fruits, whipped cream, and caramel sauce- as with most caramel in Japan, it had a burnt taste- that taste ruined the pancakes. The amount of whipped cream we got was also less that the picture implied). Definitely wouldn't order that again - it's only available in May anyway. Other pancake (blueberry) we ordered had an amount of cream that looked just like the photo in the menu. Eggs benedic I had on a previous visit was good (I chose the spam version) but clearly mass produced and basic - felt like the sauce was from a packet type situation. Tasted ok, just ok. First off. The staff is very welcoming. Which is helpful when the ordering either online at the table or at the counter can be confusing.

The eggs benedict were okay. The sauce was flavourful, but the inside of the eggs were cold, along with the salmon,making the whole dish lukewarm at best. The hashbrowns were hot though, as they were deep fried.

And the coffee was quiet good.

Aside from that, the place is a real pain to find. Multiple escalators and through a busy mall, up to the 8th floor.

In the end, I don't think it's worth the journey or the 2300¥ for coffee and eggs benedict. I think it is just hyped up because it is...
