Great find! Luckily the place was open for a very early dinner @4:45pm. Welcoming and friendly couple - Google translate camera came in handy for the menu on the wall in Japanese only. The set meal is a deal! Under ¥2,000 per head for a filling mix of sashimi, rice, miso soup, pickles, and deep fried seasonal fish. Next table ordered the fried squid which looked great although we were already stuffed from the set. Help yourself to water...

Olá! Gostaria de agradecer ao casal que nos atendeu no Maruro. Foi uma experiência incrível e uma ótima refeição! O prato veio super bem servido, com uma porção generosa que me deixou bem satisfeita. Fiquei muito feliz de saborear pratos tão deliciosos e fresquinhos! O custo por pessoa foi em torno de 2.500 ienes, e eu pedi essa refeição maravilhosa junto com uma Coca-Cola.

Estou de férias aqui no Japão, e com certeza esse restaurante tem uma refeição que vale a pena. Agradeço imensamente pela acolhida e pela comida deliciosa! Voltarei com certeza.

Hello! I would like to thank the lovely couple who served us at Maruro. It was an amazing experience and a wonderful meal! The dish was served generously, with a portion that left me completely satisfied. I was so happy to enjoy such flavorful and fresh dishes! The meal cost about 2,500 yen per person, and I had this delicious dish along with a Coca-Cola.

I'm on vacation here in Japan, and this place truly offers a meal worth having. I really appreciate the warm service and the delicious food! I will definitely come...

やはり勝浦は「かつお」。5月末。予想外の「初ガツオdeおもてなし」キャンペーン（2021年4月～5月）もあり、かつおを求めて勝浦の街へ... 18時前。たどり着いたのはこちら。おさかなの定食屋さん。お酒も飲めます。自宅を改装したのでしょうか？洋風住宅を思わせる佇まい。個人宅を思わせる玄関ドアを開け、店内へ。店内は明るく、清潔感がある喫茶風な雰囲気。それでいてカウンタ越しに広い厨房が覗ける安心の日本料理屋風なつくりです。 定食のおかずはお酒のつまみとして、定食価格から200円引きで提供頂けるとのこと。まずは...とりあえず生ビール二つ！こんなご時世ですけど、食事にはやはり潤いが必要ですよね。柿の種が付いてきます。そして注文。妻は「初がつお刺身定食」の”おかずだけ”を。私は「地魚の白身フライとお刺身セット定食」プラス「いかげそ揚げ」をお願いしました。そしてしばらく...最初に来たのは「いかげそ揚げ」。まずは何気にそのまま一口。！！！！ 揚げ方最高！なにこれ！超うまいんですけどー！いままで食べた「いかげそ揚げ」の中で一番うまい！そのままでもすごくおいしいが、マヨネーズに”一味”はやっぱりうまい。いきなり幸せ絶頂です。コレステロールやカロリーなんて気にしてる場合じゃないよ！ 続いて注文した妻の初がつおの刺身が到着。肉厚に盛られた切り身の威風堂々感。見た目で食欲そそります。ぽってりとした舌ざわり。一片の生臭さもなく、かつおの新鮮さ、活きの良さ、風味が素晴らしい。ショウガを載せればそのさわやかさが、口腔と鼻孔くすぐり、かつおの良さをまた引き立てる。付き合せの大根のつまも立派で残さずペロリと平らげてしまった。 最後に私の定食が到着。魚のフライと刺身の盛り合わせのボリューム満点定食。お刺身は「かつお」、「いか」、「なめろう」ともう一品。（聞き逃してしまった。）日本人にうまれてほんとによかった盛り合わせ。外国だったら、庶民価格でこんな生鮮魚介絶対食べられないよ。それと何気に普通に見えるこの魚フライ。先の「いかげそ揚げ」といい、この「魚フライ」といい、揚げ方が最高に素晴らしい。感動！こちらのお店の揚げ物は絶対お勧めです。食べなきゃ損！最後に定食についたご飯。米は地元いすみ産。お米が立って触感、炊き方もちょうどよい。ご飯はカロリーが...なんて言わないで絶対食べてほしい。 漁師町の一見小さな定食屋さん。地元の豊かさと素晴らしい技術で、幸せをお裾分けしてもらえる定食屋さんで...
