Burger Cafe Honohono — Restaurant in Kawagoe

This was a really good, average burger joint, I wouldn't go beyond and say they were special or amazing.

The burgers were juicy, and in our opinion,.of good size. We went with the teriyaki burger and the bacon cheese egg burger. No complaints with either. Everything seemed to be combined just right to make a good burger, but not quite a great one. The buns, in my opinion, felt like they were cooked a little too long, and ended up being a little hard, instead of being lightly crisped while still being soft.

I also understand there's a fine line between making and losing profits for a business, but it seems like they could add a few more fries/potatoes on the side. In the end, you just wanted a few more to finish off the meal.

We also ordered the onion rings, but these tasted fairly plain. Not sure what kind of onions were inside, but there wasn't really an onion flavor that you'd expect from an onion ring. We were a little disappointed in those.

The staff was friendly and quick (keep in mind they make everything when you order it) with their service. No complaints, as they seemed to take care of everyone in the store while we were there, and it didn't look like anyone got ignored.

Overall, we enjoyed the food. It's on the pricery side for a burger joint, but that should be expected with most local places like this in Japan, so it wasn't a surprise. I would recommend giving them a try, as the food was good, but I wouldn't say it was...

・公式HPに記載のある通り、「バランス」にこだわるハンバーガー屋さん。 ・幼児にも積極的に話しかけくれるフランク×フレンドリーな、まるでご近所のお兄さん。ハンバーガーの味わいみならず、そんな心地よい接客も含めた「バランス」がたまらなく素敵でした。

・今回は、お店の基本となりそうな「ホノボノバーガー」と、「テリヤキバーガー×パイナップルトッピング」をチョイス。 ・加えて、「KIDS パンケーキプレート」「KIDS BURGER」を子供用にチョイス。

・子供用のジュースには、こぼれないよう蓋がついていてありがたやです。 ・パンケーキは、薄めの生地なので幼児でも手でもってパクパクと食べれます。 ・KIDS BURGERは、可愛いミニサイズのバーガー。でも、子供にとっては大きなバーガー。大きなお口をあけてガブリ。大人と同じように食べれて満足そうでした。 ・これまでも数回、ハンバーガー屋さんにチャレンジしてきましたが、3歳児の子がハンバーガーをハンバーガーのように食べてくれるのは初で、とても嬉しかったです。（相当美味しかったのだと思います！）

・さて、大人のバーガー。 ・「テリヤキバーガー×パイナップルトッピング」は、シンプルにウマイ。肉の旨味がジュッと口の中に広がります。 ・そして、「ホノボノバーガー」。これは美味すぎます！ ・色んな味わいがコラボした「甘さというか酸味というか辛さというか、、、」。とにかく、色んなソースの味わいが絶妙に交わって美味すぎます。それに加えてトマト、フライドエッグ、チーズ、パティの食感と味わいがさらに加わって、、、「これ」という味を一言では言えないのですが、このミックスされた不思議な味がたまりません。これぞ試行錯誤された完成形の味！という感じです。

・他のメニューも食べてみたいのですが、「ホノホノバーガー」の味を体験すると、次回以降も他を選びにくくなってしまいそうです💦　それくらいに完成されたハンバーガーの味が好きでした。 ・今回はランチ訪問でしたので、ハンバーガーのみをサクッと頂いて退店しましたが、次回は夜にサイドメニュー×お酒を愉しみつつ、最後にハンバーガーで〆る、そんな流れで愉しみたいなぁと思いました。 ・久しぶりに「お食事」も「接客」も「雰囲気」も「美味しい」に出会えたハンバーガー体験でした。ご馳走様でした。

If you don't care about taste or texture - or price - you might like it here, since the cafe has some cool BGM and decor.

But for anyone who loves food, I cannot recommend the hamburgers.

Despite layers of messy sauce, the burger bun was dry i.e. the bread was stale. This is unforgivable when you consider the excessive price of a 2000+円 burger!

To make matters worse, the mini side salad (which cost a little extra) was closer in taste to a walnut-cream dessert (!) thanks to the unusual dressing that was pasted on top, without forewarning of course.
