Shunkashuto — Restaurant in Kawagoe

Kanto style Udon noodle place. Depends on the season they have different menu but I wish they had more selection to be honest…

The taste was good as a Kanto style ( I’m more like Kansai style person in general ), the Kakiage was good and my friend liked this Cold Tomato Udon noodle set. The staff were very busy as they basically need to take care of two stores at the same time ( one is a restaurant, another is Soy sauce shop ) so you need to be patient when you go there. Has great hospitality thought.

This restaurant was an incidental find as I was looking for a place to eat my lunch. There was no waiting time as I was in Kawagoe for a day trip on a weekday. The udon was springy and delicious. It is also very refreshing as it was my first time eating a dipping udon. The bonito taste for the soup udon was very strong and nice.

Don’t forget to show the Kawagoe Day trip ticket to the counter when checking out to receive a pretty gift from the shop!
