Stopped by for a Gigantic IPA and some wings. Pint was ok and liked the wings really well cooked and still juicy. Loved the deftly peeled celery slices and nuanced “blue cheese” dip, probably catering to the Japanese customers. I wanted to try the pastrami sandwich which was the reason for stopping by but my visions of black pepper/coriander forward taste notes were thwarted! Sure there are some gems here food wise as the guys are talented. They were also hustling with a large group upstairs. The fish n chips were bad. It was more batter than the fish. It was super crispy because of too much batter.
The tequila lime chicken was chewy and oily. The mashed potato with it was dry and tasteless.
The charbroiled hanging tender w/ chimichurri was cooked rare. They didn’t even ask if we wanted it rare or not. Nothing Great.
The shiga kogen beer was a disappointment. It was flat & tasteless.
