Tofu-ya Ukai is more than just a meal—it’s an experience. Nestled in a serene setting that feels worlds away from the city, this place effortlessly blends traditional charm with refined dining. From the moment you step onto the beautifully landscaped grounds, it’s clear that attention to detail is at the heart of everything they do.
The highlight, of course, is the tofu, prepared in ways that showcase its delicate texture and depth of flavor. Each dish feels meticulously crafted, with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients and subtle, elegant flavors. My favourite was the charcoal grilled fried tofu with miso. The private dining room added an extra layer of exclusivity, making the meal feel even more special.
Service was impeccable—graceful, attentive, and never intrusive. The ambiance, with its classic Japanese architecture and garden views, made it easy to forget the outside world for a while.
