I recently celebrated a birthday at a restaurant in Kobe that serves the exquisite A5-ranked Kobe beef from Kissho-kichi, and we were truly blessed by the experience. The restaurant's decor made an impressive first impression, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with polite service. Our menu was expertly introduced by a Japanese waitress who spoke fluent English with a charming British accent. The steak was prepared teppanyaki-style right before our eyes, with the chef serving it directly onto our plates. Words cannot adequately express how incredible the Kobe beef was. After more than fifty years of life, I can confidently say this was the best steak I’ve ever had. The quality was outstanding—tender, flavorful, and juicy. Even someone with limited teeth would have no trouble enjoying it. We chose a cut with a bit of marbling, which added a delightful richness and softness to the flavor. Chef Mr. Takada is undoubtedly one of the finest teppanyaki chefs I have encountered. His skill in cooking and presentation was truly an art form. Unlike some chefs who rely on flamboyant displays and theatrics, Mr. Takada approached his craft with professionalism and grace. His respect for the ingredients and the guests was evident in every aspect of his cooking. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and Chef Takada to anyone visiting Kobe. I look forward to returning on my next trip!

Apart from the beef portions and size, you don't get much of a day with how you want to eat it. Kinda like omakase. Best is to get medium raw because it is the juiciest. The chef will teach you which combination of sauces to try. My favourite was wasabi and soy sauce with the sirloin. My brother and I ordered sirloin and red meat while the chef cooked and played, we ate. It is important to know that if you want quality food, you shouldn't be cheap. Red meat is nowhere close to sirloin despite the chef's skills. Also, if you're ordering expensive meat, get the professionals to cook it. Unless you're a master chef, it's always better that way. Prices are not inclusive of tax. They accept card payment too and speak English a little. Many foreign guests there but not all of them are great customers. The chefs are amazing and the food is great. Take care not to touch the grill even if it isn't cooking because it is always on. My brother learned that the hard way. Also, they usually serve water so you need not get drinks if you don't want to. It is best to eat in. Lunch is more affordable and dinner is pricier.

We just had lunch here, kind of disappointed. We had high expectations due to the reviews, and well, having Kobe beef in Kobe. The older chef that we had didn’t ask us what we wanted for how we liked our steak cooked, and the chef couldn’t communicate since he didn’t know English. The beef was cubed and turned before a good sear could happen. The beef was very good, but not done properly by the chef. Customers beside us with another chef got properly seared steaks. I include 2 photos here, first one of our steak cubes without searing, and a second of the steak with a good sear for customers next to us. We have had Tepanyaki with Kobe beef that was much, much better in Osaka. I thought it could only be better in Kobe, but I was wrong to believe the reviews here, and picked a wrong place. The setting and decor was very common, not high end, but price is really quite high compared to better, higher end restaurants in Osaka.

I made a reservation for 5:30 PM on a Tuesday. Arrived early and was seated before 5:30 PM, no one else was in the restaurant. My husband and I both got the tender Kobe beef 120 grams with set meal. They offered to take a picture for us together with the platter before cooking it. We were served the salad first - the dressing was a sesame ponzu base (strong flavour), it was topped with some shirataki noodles that made for great texture - it was delightful. Shin did a great job cooking for us. The Kobe beef bowl was a bit salty for me as the meat was salted and there was soy sauce in the rice. Overall, great experience. We received a little certification card for experiencing kissho-kichi's AT rank Kobe beef steak which was cute.

We were in Japan for over two weeks and had many amazing meals. The quality of the meat here almost made me cry tears of joy. Unfortunately, I did not take pictures of the food after it was cooked because it smelled so good cooking I could not wait to eat it and once I had it was so good I could not do anything more than savor and eat more. We got the first three meats on the menu with the A set and split it between 3 people. The staff was really nice and accommodating of our language barrier and our Chef Yamada was very skilled. I wish Kobe beef in the US was taken as seriously as they do here. Whatever they call Kobe beef in the US is like MacDonalds meat compared to this. Highly recommended!

I can't believe I am dinning in Japan. This restaurant is targetted for tourist and only tourist will come. 1st thing 1st, the chef didn't ask us on the doneness of the beef. Secondly, I don't think they know how to cook steak, it's overcooked. The worst is that they didn't clean the stainless steal cooking surface, they let the burned meat stick on the surface and cook veggie for us. I can't believe this is Japan. Why it has a high rating here in Google? Lastly, their listed price is excluding sales tax, which is very uncommon in Japan. Also, they added 5% service charges as well. All in all, this restaurant slaughter tourist.
