All the pork buns are steamed fresh and once you get them in a piping hot bag, you can go to the plaza to devour them whilst standing and it is definitely worth the wait. The buns are juicy and it does remind me of buns made in China but with a Japanese finesse to it. Since making a trip down to Kobe today, Chinatown is a must visit place for me. Then, it is a no brainier to try this famous pork bun shop. Obviously, there is a queue about 30 pax in front when I arrived. However, it moved quite fast. So, I only spent less than 10 minutes to buy.
Let's look at the buns. They are about 2 bites sized and came hot. The filling is juicy. However, I found that it was salty even for a person like me who take quite salty food. The skin would not be a hit in the places like China or Singapore. Not fluffy type.
