Spent the day climbing the hills into Nunobiki Waterfalls, followed by a tour of the Kiku- Masamune Sake Museum and finally a hike up and around Fushimi Inari Shrines. After 23001 steps, 11 miles… ascending to an elevation of 4550ft twice, I couldn’t think of a better place to rest my feet and eat the best steak I have ever eaten served by the amazing Okagami and his great recommendations. Our family of seven after being turned away repeatedly at other Kobe beef restaurants, was welcomed in our hiking clothes and we embraced the amazing A/C, ice cold beer and hospitality of the restaurant to have two premium meals one for 3-4 and one for 2-3. Each steak dish had Nakanishi Ranch Kobe filets, sirloin and surprise cut served with a range of sauces. I can absolutely recommend the surprise cut with wasabi and soy sauce.. wow melt in your mouth amazing. Finally … I’m a Texan and I can absolutely say that I think we should open a Kobe beef farm in Texas so I can eat this stuff for the rest of my life. Seriously… best meat I have ever eaten. I’m 54 and I have eaten amazing steaks all over the world and this is the best bar none. Thank you Red One… what a...
Read moreWhen you’re walking down this busy corridor you wonder how you will be eating an expensive meal but when you walk up the stairs into the restaurant it is quiet, relaxing and classy. The staff is very attentive and professional.
We had some real highlights at this meal. The table side Kobe nigiri was torched table side. That was a good touch. A side or starter salad that was well crafted and delivered way more than it had to.
We had the beef stew, the hamburger steak and steak set, 2 large sirloins and the curry fried steak.
The steaks were good but not great. Without seasoning when searing it left something to be desired. We had that a couple of days prior and it made a difference.
The beef stew and curry beef were standouts. I mean we couldn’t get enough of the two of these. If I could go back which could happen in a year or two, then I would order 2 per person. It was like having comfort food that was made at home but elevated in such a way that made me wonder of all slow cooked beef dishes should be...
Read moreThe food here was delicious. Our server Rui was also very welcoming, friendly and nice. His explanations were very helpful and I was relived there was an english speaking staff. He also provided a size chart for the beef at this establishment. The atmosphere was extremely fantastic. They had nice warm lights and great jazzy music. I recommend getting the prime kobe one. Even the lowest prime kobe beef was super soft and tender. The sushi was also delicious. If you want the best deal come at lunch time because of their free rice, salad, and soup. It was pricy but totally worth it. You should at least try it once in your fleeting lifetime. Me and my friends enjoyed our time here and I felt really welcomed. We also all got a sticker and certificate for eating the kobe beef. Rui gave us his signature which I thought looked very classy and simple. Overall 5/5 stars would come again if I...
