LIMA COFFEE — Restaurant in Kobe

I used to come to the old shop, and they always had relatively good coffee, and the new shop has interesting decor, BUT it was sad to see this older 3rd wave coffee shop turned into a teenage hipster favourite, the prices went up, and the service is quite slow.

The worst is they seem to use 7/11 milk in a specialty coffee shop! NEVER seen that as good coffee shops often use higher quality, some local milk. Such a disappointment & feels like a rip off. You can’t charge 550 for a latte with such low quality milk, it’s just wrong.

So many great coffee shops in Kobe, I’d avoid this one because of the value/...

I want to like this place - its in a cool setting with cool looking people. Take away beans are decent. However, the three times I've ordered drinks from their bar, the baristas have added way too much milk for the type of drink, rendering an experience of coffee flavored milk. Today I ordered an "espresso machiatto" which should just be foam and espresso but instead, I got a strong latte: way too much milk. Am I being picky? Yea. But hey, it is a coffee place and one that doesn't have the details down right, so it's kind of style over substance...

Atmosphere and the interior was a 10/10 but the coffee was a little burnt to our liking.

We were a little bit worried when they were using the siphon where it was really boiling, possibly their methodology but the flavors didn’t shine through.
