The initial draw to this cute cafe was the egg coffee but the curry hit the spot! The POS machine has an English option and is easy to understand and navigate while ordering. The red curry called to me during the brisk weather and I was pleasantly surprised at the heat level (normally it's sadly underwhelming). It was perfectly balanced with the light taste of coconut milk(?), vegetables, chicken, and the heat 🌶️ was a nice slow burn. It did not overtake the flavor of the entire curry (but it was a bit too spicy for my friend). The egg coffee is a black coffee with an egg yolk. The taste of the coffee itself was clean and smooth and mixing in the yolk created a creamy texture. No egg smell and I didn't feel like it changed the taste too much - like adding cream to...

Alright lunch, had the avo bacon rice, was usual. Service to be honest was not the best and it was not the usual customer experience that I was used to in Shikoku - it seemed like they were not really trying to get any customers in!.. That being said it is pretty convenient if you do not want to walk far from Okunoin for lunch, and they have a special egg coffee which is similar to having a cafe au lait.

My tip: Don't be afraid to ask them questions even in English. The staff can communicate but they may seem rude to some ppl as they just don't have the vocab/practice to say what what they want to say the right way. I saw some foreigners leave/give up even tho there was space for them after they were asked to wait in a...

Amazing cafe for many reasons. Great drinks, food, I even got a second hand kimono on sale there. But the best of all… I had a classic stamp book which I’d been slowly using over weeks to gather stamps from all over Japan. I accidently left it the cafe and was heartbroken when I realised upon my return to Kyoto. It was my last day in Japan so there wasn’t enough time to wait for it to arrive to the hotel. I phoned them up and they very very very kindly sent it in the post all the way to the UK. I am beyond greatful for this kind act, it will forever stay as a core memory of my time in japan. Without a shadow of a doubt I’ll be seeking out this cafe upon my return to Japan. Thank...

By far the best looking coffee shop. It's small, cozy and warm. They have free, fast WiFi, unlike other places in the area. The employees speak decent English and can understand more than the other locals around here. The food/drink is also served really quick since there are not many seats and customers to worry about. It's rather a good thing and makes for a pleasant break.

We stopped in for breakfast and had an amazing French toast. It was super tasty and filling! French toast had bananas, mandarin oranges, ice cream, honey, and toasted soybean powder on it. Was honestly the best French toast I’ve ever had in a restaurant before. Coffee was good too! Service was fantastic and friendly, cannot recommend this cafe enough—you should stop by!
