I checked the reviews on Google Maps, and the reviews in this area were very good. It’s a small restaurant with about 10 seats. When I arrived, there was no queue, so I was able to sit down right away. However, after I ordered, about 4-5 people showed up to wait in line, so I was lucky.

I ordered the salt-based ramen, and it was incredibly delicious, beyond my expectations. The broth had a rich chicken flavor but wasn’t too salty (I’m Thai, so I prefer bold flavors but don’t like food to be too salty). The chicken topping seemed to be cooked perfectly—tender and juicy, with a subtle chicken flavor that paired perfectly with the broth. Overall, the taste was incredible . Easily the best ramen I tried during my time in Fukuoka. There’s something so comforting about their chicken broth which is unbelievably creamy and tasty.

The seating area and kitchen is so clean and tidy, and they even provide hair ties for ladies at every table, which is so thoughtful. I was very impressed! The two chefs are also very friendly and efficient and ordering is very straightforward with a machine with different language options. Will definitely come back to Kumamoto just to eat this chicken paitan...

After about one month of traveling in Japan and having Ramen everywhere from Sapporo down to Kumamoto, this one may have been my favourite one.
