The customer service here was unacceptable and clearly discriminatory. The female staff on the second floor treated me with open hostility and prejudice. I politely asked in English to buy one pack of Instax film, but she repeatedly interrupted me, forcibly switched the conversation to Chinese using a translator, and kept accusing me of being a reseller without any reason.
I tried to stay calm, assuming there might be a store policy. However, she refused to explain anything, treated me with rudeness and arrogance, and showed no respect at all. Only after I asked four times, she finally revealed a rule that customers must purchase 5,500 yen worth of products before being allowed to buy Instax film. This essential rule should have been explained from the beginning, instead of harassing and insulting customers.
