Kumamoto City International Center — Attraction in Kumamoto

I often went here for using the prayer room. To use the prayer room, we should ask for the key to the front desk officer. Not to worry, we can ask the officers in English.

Besides prayer room, there's a nursery room as well, which also can be used by lending the key to the officer beforehand.

In the 1st floor, there are newspapers and magazines. Not only from Japan, but they're also from other countries. There are also brochures about tourism in Kumamoto, which are available in some languages.

As a foreigner, I think this is a good place to visit, either for praying, seeking for information, or just making a stop...

Overall, a good place for all people/foreigners living in Kumamoto. Lots of free consultations, activities, and support.

However, be careful when doing business with them. Very amateur. One of the staff, a younger guy, I won't mention his name is very shady and can't be trusted. Tried to change the terms of my contract in the middle of the contract period. Very sneaky. Again,...

Staff are very patient and helpful despite the language barriers. We rented a regular city bike for 1,000 yen (daily rate) and cycled mainly around the city centre. Return time is by 9:30pm. Bikes are a bit well worn, so do be careful when going downhill as the brakes are not very responsive! Although it takes a bit of effort to find, there are bike parking spaces located...
