Cafe Stand 10.8 — Restaurant in Kurume

This is a very small shop that can only serve 8 people. However, after we paid, the staff told us to go outside and come back in 20 minutes. It was very cold and windy today, and I had a terrible headache from standing in the cold for 20 minutes. One of the seats inside was reserved for takeout orders, but she didn’t allow us to sit there and wait. Additionally, they only accepted cash.

This experience made me feel discriminated against as a foreigner. It was the most unfriendly experience I’ve ever had in Japan. I suggest they put up a sign informing customers to wait or suspend service when they are full, instead of taking customers’ money and then sending them outside...

It’s a 20min walk from Kurume station, but easy to find. We didn’t had to wait at all before being seated and the staff was really friendly. The pancakes are a soufflé type, so be aware of the taste of eggs. But all in all they were really fluffy and delicious. Payment is cash or...

日曜日の夕方訪問です。到着時、他にお客は無かったので待ち時間無し。後から二組訪れてました。交差点の角のビル1階にこぢんまりとあります。駐車場は無し。周囲にコインパーキングがあるのでそちらに停めることになります。私達グループはバイクでしたので、コインパーキングが利用出来ないため、お店の軒先に詰めて停めさせて頂きました。席は横並びのカウンター席のみ。ソーシャルディスタンスを考えるなら2組か3組しか座れないでしょう。私は【魅惑なショコラ大福パンケーキ】を注文しました。連れもそれぞれ違うものを注文。それぞれ【風流な抹茶大福パンケーキ】【至高のパンケーキ】【クラシックなパンケーキ】です。あちこちでパンケーキを食べていますが大福生地とパンケーキの組み合わせは初めて。大福のモチっとした食感とパンケーキのフワッとした食感が楽しいですね。大福×パンケーキはソースが少なめですがパンケーキがフワフワなので口の中の水分がもっていかれることはないです。至高のパンケーキとクラシックなパンケーキはソース多めで、そちらも美味しそうでしたが『さすがに一口ちょうだい』とは言えず。他にも気になるパンケーキがあったのでわまたリピートしてみたいと思います。☆−1はトイレです。便座ヒーターがないタイプの洋式トイレで、それは全く構わないのですが、座った時にひんやりしないよう、貼るタイプの便座カバーが付いてます。ヒヤッとしないようスタッフさんのお心遣いなんでしょうけど、座る前に便座は消毒したいタイプなので、空気椅子状態で利用させて頂きました。出来れば、こんなご時世なので、ひんやりしても構わないの...
