Hisashi is a small homely restaurant serving great food. Very reasonable prices, with half portion available for those with a smaller appetite. Must try dishes include the kokanee (deep-red sockeye salmon indigenous to Lake Akan) and the speciality lake smelt prepared tempura style. The ebi tempura is also excellent. Friendly service with English menu available, and limited English spoken.
