Been here once in the summer and once this winter, the tempura is seasonal! In the summer, we have the most wonderful Hokkaido corn tempura. It was so perfect and sweet and juicy and lightly battered it was the first thing I asked for this winter, but sadly that was limited for the summer. Their tempura is definitely seasonal, and this time we had the best scallop tempura. So crispy outside yet juicy inside! Best duck nanban with grilled leeks soba too. All 4 of us had the same dish, but that broth is unbeatable! Will always visit when in Niseko; our most reliable spot!

I visited this restaurant around lunchtime, and it was already full, so I waited about 20 minutes before being seated. I ordered a set menu with soba and tempura, and after waiting around another 15 to 20 minutes, I finally got to enjoy my meal. The noodles, with a high buckwheat content, paired excellently with the dipping sauce, delivering great flavor. The tempura was crispy and delicious, leaving me very satisfied. If you’re in the area and looking for a tasty lunch, this restaurant would be a great choice.

Delicious soba with the perfect atmosphere overlooking the snowy forest. Tendon is also available for those who prefer to have rice which was great for my younger son who is a picky eater (but loves anything with prawns!) If you take the shuttle/bus, stop at the Yamada Junction bus stop, the large red building on your right is Ichimura. You will not miss it. This is a must eat if you are in Niseko. A pity they don't serve dinner, would have loved to go again.

Beautiful soba with duck being their speciality. The tempura option was also spot on. In fact the local sweet potato tempura was quite the highlight. We were also lucky enough to get a wonderful view. Please note this restaurant makes their soba daily and once supply is exhausted, the restaurant closes! There is also the option of 80 or 100% buckwheat noodles. We went for the 80% option.

One of the best meals I’ve had on my trip to Niseko. Ordered both the cold and hot soba noodles with tempura, and they were equally delicious! Beautiful traditional restaurant with reasonable prices (especially for a ski town.) Only open for lunch and about a 20 minute walk from Hirafu but totally worth it!! If you are looking for a truly Japanese meal, this is it. 💯

One of the best meals we had in Niseko. We got the tempura soba and fried fish rice cake soba. Flavor of soba and broth were phenomenal. Great local shop. Cash only. Gets crowded so expect a wait. We got there around 12:30 and waited about 15min. Only open for lunch. Would definitely recommend and would come back again.
