So, this is what Michelin-starred soba tastes like!

I ordered the duck soba set. It was perfect.

The noodles were nothing short of perfection. Earthly, nutty, and with just the right chew that spoke volumes about their freshness and hand-crafted quality. Each bite in the broth was a symphony of umami flavors. The broth was layered with rich duck essence, perfectly balanced soy, and a subtle sweetness from the green onions that rounded out every mouthful.

The tender slices of duck breast served on the side were perfectly pink in the center, with a delicate smokiness and a richness that melted on the tongue without being heavy. The refreshing crunch of the negi (green onions) and the tang of the pickles complemented each element, creating an unforgettable meal.

This was an artful expression of flavor, texture, and balance. I was very lucky that there wasn’t a queue when I visited. Definitely for any food enthusiast...

Been here once in the summer and once this winter, the tempura is seasonal! In the summer, we have the most wonderful Hokkaido corn tempura. It was so perfect and sweet and juicy and lightly battered it was the first thing I asked for this winter, but sadly that was limited for the summer. Their tempura is definitely seasonal, and this time we had the best scallop tempura. So crispy outside yet juicy inside!

Best duck nanban with grilled leeks soba too. All 4 of us had the same dish, but that broth is unbeatable!

One of my favourite meals this trip. Similar to most reviews here, the cold noodles have a nice bounce to them. In addition, I ordered the fried oysters and tamago, which was the perfect amount of food for me.

Highly recommend the fried oysters. Dipping it into the matcha salt and the sauce that came with the soba set hit the spot when they were piping hot. They were juicy, plump, hot and delicious.

Side note: the yam tempura was also great. You get one in the tempura set - it’s sweet and rich. Would get a side of it if I wasn’t...
