Tsubura Tsubura is a quiet, traditional gem known for its deeply comforting and masterfully prepared soups. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported into a serene, old-world atmosphere that feels timeless, simple wooden interiors, soft lighting, and a sense of calm that invites you to slow down and savor.

The soups are truly the heart of the experience. Each bowl is rich in flavor, carefully balanced, and made with ingredients that speak to the seasons. Whether it’s a clear broth that’s light and elegant or a slow-simmered stew that warms you to the core, the care and tradition behind each recipe is unmistakable. It’s the kind of food that nourishes both body and soul.

Service is gentle and respectful, perfectly in tune with the quiet elegance of the space. If you're looking for a place that honors traditional Japanese flavors and provides a moment of peace in a busy world, Tsubura Tsubura is...

Dining here is an exercise in endurance. After ordering, we waited a full 50 minutes for our food to appear—piecemeal, of course. The staff, uninterested in even the simplest attempt at communication, bombarded us with Japanese, as if everyone dining here were fluent by default. Their cold, detached demeanor and disinterested service were almost an artistic statement.

The restaurant’s fame attracts an endless line of hopeful tourists outside, huddled together like loyal pets waiting for scraps. Watching them from inside, as we ourselves sat waiting endlessly for our meal, was a scene that felt less like dining and more like an elaborate satire on modern hospitality.

If standing in line for hours to be ignored and disrespected sounds appealing, this place is perfect. For everyone else, there are countless restaurants that value both your time and...

We love your curries. Been coming here since 15 years ago. Our favorite restaurant in Niseko. I have 1 feedback these time. We ordered 4 curry bowls and 8 side dishes. We added extra roasted pork for curry noodles. The pork was steamed and grilled in charcoal. The resulting taste was just incredible. The next night we decided to do again. Yes the next night! That’s how good the food was. We ordered extra extra pork this time…. BUT, the extra flavours from the grill was gone leaving behind totally tastless slices of pork. What huge bummer. We couldn’t even finish it. Next time if you want to prefer the roast pork, ask specifically to check if the pork was grilled, if not, don’t...

Very good soup curry. English menu available. Limited menu options available but it's easier to order. You can customize the spicy level as well as the size of rice. We had the meatball soup curry. I got #3 spicy, and thought it was pretty spicy. You can choose all the way to #10 for very very spicy 🥵 (anything over #5 cost extra ¥). An onion salad was also served to begin. Meatball was delicious - moist and flavorful, especially when it mixed with the curry soup. Definitely needed the rice as the soup curry was a bit salty on it's own. Also comes with many vegetables. Can see this being great during the winter. Even in the spring, it was tasty!

First time trying Soup Curry, a local specialty of Sapporo and Hokkaido. Unlike regular Japanese curry, rice is served separately and you scoop it with the spoon and dip it in the soup. The chicken soup curry is the main attraction here. The soup is a beautiful dark brown, flavors so savory and richly spiceful, and the chicken meat falls off the bone. The only thing is the line is quite brutal. As it is one of the few places around the Niseko area that has actual good food, all the skiers flock to this place in search of a warm soothing dinner. Be prepared to wait outside in the cold for up to an hour or more.
